El Tour de Tucson with Team in Training

I've signed up for one of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's fundraising teams. We're going to be riding in the Tour de Tucson (a century around Tucson) and just to make things interesting I'm training with the high-intensity group trying to finish in less than 5 hours.

The Results

The ride started out a bit crazy (check out that 100% heart rate) and by now I knew better than to try for the platinum sub-5 hour finish but I managed to place solidly in the gold range (5:26). Unfortunately today was a day for serious problems: no flats or mechanicals but two crashes, the latter resulting in two riders going to the hospital instead of finishing with the team.
